Key Features

500-Gallon Capacity: The LG LT500P water filter is rated for up to 500 gallons of filtered water. This gives it a higher rated capacity than LG's LT1000P, LT700P, LT800P, and LT600P filters, which have different capacities and are not interchangeable simply because they are LG filters.

6-Month Filter Life: LG rates the LT500P for approximately 6 months of use. The actual replacement interval can vary based on water quality and how much water your household uses. Replacing the filter on schedule helps maintain the intended filtration performance.

NSF-Certified LG Filter: The LT500P refrigerator water filter has NSF certification. LG lists this certification as one of the key features of the genuine LT500P filter.

Cleaner, Better-Tasting Water and Ice: LG states that its genuine refrigerator filters are designed to provide cleaner, fresher, and better-tasting water and ice. The LT500P is designed to reduce specified impurities and help improve the quality of water used by compatible LG refrigerators.

Easy Twist Replacement: Replacing the LG LT500P filter does not require special tools. LG's instructions show removing the old cartridge by turning it to the left, inserting the replacement, and turning it about one-quarter turn to the right until it locks.
